Yes, you! You are THE MASTER CREATOR of your life’s experience. You are the originator, designer, builder and architect of every situation that confronts you on your life’s path today.

In every moment of your life the dynamic energy of your closely held core beliefs, often repeated words, thoughts and emotions are manifesting your experiences. Know that you have that much power!

Nothing you are currently experiencing is by chance. Nothing you have experienced in the past was by chance.

The content of your continually held thoughts and often repeated words will manifest the direction of your life path. Where your attention goes, your energy flows. Under your own guidance, creation happens.

The words that you speak, the thoughts that you think, become your reality. Your life always will bear evidence to your beliefs.

Once you accept responsibility for what you are experiencing, it becomes easier to make positive changes. It becomes obvious that you can build a better life for yourself.

One of the most potentially revealing places to start is with the analysis of your core beliefs. What are they? Do they ring positive and loving, life affirming or fearful and negative? Are they genuinely your beliefs or did you simply accept them as truth from family or friends?

If you do not like what you see in your belief system, begin to rethink and redesign. If your beliefs do not create happiness, health and abundance, could you construct a different belief system for yourself?

This is not a self blaming exercise. This is a “practice makes perfect” effort to improve what you bring into your life. Be kind to yourself. In your quiet times praise yourself when you make progress in your pronouncements, your assessments of life.

Watching your thoughts and words does require the desire and intention to make positive adjustments. Listen to yourself when you are speaking just to yourself or to others. Are you speaking words of health? Are you speaking words of hope and prosperous possibilities?

Anyone can "bring down" a room full of people with dire predictions or fearful forecasts. Instead decide today to practice being the sunshine wherever you go! It is good for you and good for anyone you touch.

I believe in you. I believe that you have the talent, the power and the desire for your very best life now. Get the upper hand with your problems by using them as superior motivators for personal change. Reconstruct whatever causes you any discomfort.

DECISIONS AND “THE HEART SCALE”

Throughout your day you make various decisions. You move forward, take an action, on one task and discard or ignore another. Some of your decisions are minor and of little importance. It seems obvious for instance that little impact comes from choosing one breakfast cereal over another.

On the other hand certain types of decisions can have a more life altering affect. It is those decisions that change the course of your personal history that I wish to address today.

For example, it could be that you feel the need to move out of or drop a personal relationship.

It is possible that another rather “foreign” geographic location seems to be calling you.

Perhaps a major employment change is being offered away from your current comfort zone.

Larger, deeper positive choices of that kind can open up your life path; give you a greater view of growth-filled possibilities. Unfortunately poor or negative choices can detour your goals, or lead to a number of dead ends.

Those major choices that you make determine how engaged you will be with your own physical and spiritual progress. In fact some decisions have so great an impact that they can determine the course of the rest of your life.

I do not say these things to put you on guard or to frighten you, but rather to offer you another way of making decisions.

This final extra or additional method is to be used only when you have done all the usual homework regarding a particular challenge. It is to be used only when you have looked at the facts, consulted with your spirit guides, masters, and high self. Then is the time to use one more measure!

Let me preface this explanation of the method by saying that I believe strongly in LOVE’S WISDOM. When there are several choices facing me, I choose the way dictated by Love. Love always offers the highest and best to me and the highest and best to any others who may be affected by my decision.

Here then is the HEART SCALE for your use: Close your eyes. Think, feel or imagine that directly in front of you is your personal Heart Scale. If it helps, you can color it pink, gold or any loving color that appeals to you.

When you have that vision firmly in place, imagine further that the digital scale numbers read from 1 to 10. Ten is the highest and most positive.

Now, drop your decision on that scale and see what number IMMEDIATELY flashes on the scale. If you take more than 2 seconds to read the number, you have left your heart decision and moved, or deferred to, your mind or rational thinking decision.

This is a very accurate measure of how your heart and love feel about any particular decision as long as you make an immediate reading of the number. If you cannot succeed with the quick reading the first time, set the technique aside for awhile and try again.

One of the reasons for using the Heart Scale is to override our human tendency to lie to ourselves about some issues. This tendency comes into play when we feel acknowledging our own truth will lead us to making big and sometimes scary changes.

Many times we tend to try to avoid large shifts in our beliefs. We feel we need to be “right” rather than accept and actively pursue what is actually good for us.

I hope you will try this technique. Have fun with it. Make it joyful because YOUR HEART WANTS TO BE JOYFUL!

YOU’RE IN CHARGE!

Yes, you are the Boss. You are both the Gatekeeper and the Ruler of your personal life kingdom. As an adult it is no secret that you control whether or when you get out of bed in the morning. You decide what to eat or not eat.

But do you realize that no word, thought or feeling can live in your domain without your approval? DID YOU KNOW, WERE YOU EVEN SLIGHTLY AWARE, THAT YOU HAD THAT KIND OF LIFE-AFFECTING CONTROL?

Unfortunately, much of the material that you and I allow to access our thoughts and feelings comes through the “back door”. Many times we are not even aware of its entrance. We let down our guard, become distracted, and suddenly we have accepted an idea that floated in on another person’s wave length.

THE POWER AND IMPACT OF OUR WORDS, THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS TO CREATE THE FABRIC OF OUR LIVES IS IMMENSE.

For example, it is impossible to overestimate the effect of a repetitively held thought. Add to that thought a strong emotion and manifestation will occur. Every positive or negative energy we send forth in this way creates after its own kind.

The good news is each of us can control all of this automatic input for ourselves. We can turn our thoughts, words and feelings in the direction we chose.

We are not at the mercy of the beliefs of others. We do not have to submit ourselves to the opinions of the world at large. If we are adults, we are not who we are today because of our parents or our environment. Who we are, we have personally created.

Happy people create happy lives. Positive words create positive effects. A heart that is always grateful and singing, finds more for which to be grateful and more songs to sing!

If there is anything in your life experience today that you do not want in your life, now is the time to take action! Decide to change the way you are viewing your world. CHANGE THE WAY YOU ARE TELLING YOURSELF AND OTHERS ABOUT YOUR CURRENT EXPERIENCE.

Perhaps you are not feeling physically well just now. If that is the case, decide to speak only about glowing health. Tell your friends how good you feel, so much better than yesterday. “I am on my way to perfect health. I just feel so good, so confident.”

At first this way of vocalizing and thinking may feel like a lie. It does take practice, but if you are willing to take charge, the results are definitely worth it.

Today the world tells us (by way of the television, the newspaper and the internet) that our economy is on the verge of collapse or a “downturn” so huge as to be a depression. Do you realize that in any economy, there are always people and companies making enormous amounts of money and living abundantly?

Could you just take a short “news vacation”? Could you go a few days or weeks without loading up on all the negative media? That kind of vacation could make all the difference in your experiences.

None of us would deliberately or consciously chose poverty, yet, that is what we are doing when we immerse ourselves in the current “news”. It is up to each of us to turn away from that kind of news and begin creating our economy in a different direction.

If money is the challenge of the moment, begin by blessing what you have. Bless whatever amount you have and see more added to it. Be open to new ideas and new ventures. Opportunities come to those who are aware and inviting them.

If you long for friends, be a friend! Yes, it really is that simple. Go out. Find someone who could benefit from some cheering. You can do it. You will feel all the better for the effort.

Your firmly held beliefs and thoughts have created what you are experiencing today. What you say, think and feel today are creating the situations of your life tomorrow.

Change will come if you take the easy step of putting a guard on how you speak, think and feel. Feeling blue? Sing, put on some joyful music, dance. Take charge!

Instead of writing letters to relatives about your troubles, write notes filled with words of success and happiness. Be a spreader of the positive.

Do not bother to trace where a negative thought originated. It does not help to blame the source. Simply originate a new thought pattern and stick to it! YOU HAVE ALL THE POWER AND TALENT TO CREATE YOUR NEW LIFE BEGINNING TODAY!

OPEN YOUR HEART

“Live by the wisdom of Love.” “Speak from the heart.” “Be kind.” “Do no harm.” “Step aside from the negativity of all judgment.” “Hear yourself and others, not with your mind, but with love from your heart.” “Be the radiant energy of pure Love.” “Forgive, forgive, forgive.”

All of these suggestions are good ones, but where are the directions to attain this life lived by Love? How can we open our hearts to that great an extent? Where should we begin? Doldrums OUT, Sunshine IN!

Looks to me like this is a day for positive affirmation! Let’s get our spirits soaring. What could you do to get that “top of the world” feeling? Dance? Hike a mountain? Call a dear friend?

Maybe this will help. Are any of you into old recordings? If so, you may remember the vocal style of Karen Carpenter. Here a few of the words to one of her beautiful numbers: “Sing, sing a song…sing it loud, sing it strong. Don’t worry that it’s not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing, sing a song”.

Occasionally it seems we have to fool ourselves with a little trickery to improve the mood of our day. Why not? An elevated joyous mood brings creativity. Creativity can manifest itself as all manner of wonderful things, perhaps even a miracle, large or small!

Through the years I have used hundreds of memorized affirmations. Sometimes I would shout them out loud just to “wake me up”. I offer you a few of those that have served me well:

I am vibrant, strong, healthy, prosperous and happy.

I see the highest and best in all people.

The universe is showering me with dynamic gifts of Spirit.

I am a money magnet, my income increases daily.

This is my Best Day yet.

All things are working together for good in my life now.

I love all people and all people love me.

Feel free to use these thoughts and words daily or begin creating your own. If you need new employment for instance, you might try something like “I attract my perfect job at the perfect pay.”

If your need is for more friends perhaps “I am a warm, happy, friendly person and I attract other warm, happy friendly people.”

When you are happy and reaching out to the world, you will find the world moves in mysterious ways to give you even more fulfilling situations and events.

In a recent class I attended, a suggestion was made for making other folks happy while making yourself likeable. When the moment seems right with a sales clerk or even your boss, try this: “Do you know what I like about you?” Follow that question with something completely honest such as: “You are always willing to help” or “You have the most beautiful smile”

I promise you will be amazed at the reactions you get by just making that small effort to point out to a friend or stranger one of their likeable attributes. Just the fact that you cared enough to notice will make you seem special. The energy response is guaranteed to warm your heart and theirs. In that moment you have made two happy people.

On the matter of affirmations, I want to mention that if you ever run out of ideas, please check one of Catherine Ponders’ books. She is an absolute master of positive words, thoughts, and actions!

Another handy source for good affirmations is the book room of any local Unity Church. The founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, gained glowing good health using affirmations and blessings for their physical bodies.

You cannot go “over the top” with dynamic good words for you and your loved ones. It may seem like a huge stretch of imagination at first when you tell yourself how good things are, but sometimes that is what is needed to push away old negative thought patterns.

Remember that you are special, talented, and deserving of the very best this lifetime has to offer. Just keep telling yourself: “I am capable of anything I can imagine or believe” because you are!

As you affirm positive events for yourself, new ideas will arrive. You will find yourself making more spontaneous and effective decisions. It may even feel like a new life that you are creating for yourself, one day at a time.
